Abstract
In semiconductor photocatalytic systems, MoS2 is attracting intensive attention because it can not only act as co-catalyst, but also form heterojunctions with semiconductors. The MoS2/semiconductor heterojunctions are favorable to the fast charge carrier transferring, thus the photocatalytic performance enhancement. This short review seeks to give an overview of the MoS2/semiconductor photocatalysts from the standpoint of MoS2-semiconductor heterojunction reported over the past three years, with emphasis on its combination with three representative semiconductors: TiO2, CdS, and reduced graphene.
