Abstract
Autothermal oxidative coupling of methane (OCM) was investigated over SrCO3/Sm2O3 catalysts. The content of SrCO3 has an important influence on the catalytic performance. Under ignition conditions, the 5.0% SrCO3/Sm2O3 catalyst can hold autothermal OCM reaction about 82 h, and the CH4 conversion and C2 selectivity are above 31.4% and 39.5%, respectively. The thermal effect is believed to be responsible for the autothermal OCM reaction.
