Abstract
Keratin protein was extracted from chicken feathers (CFs) for its potential application as dielectric material (k) of 3.5 in fabrication of valuable functional electronic devices such as Metal-Insulator-Metal (MIM) and OTFT devices. The regioregular poly(3-hexylthiophene) (P3HT) OTFT devices when fabricated with keratin protein as gate dielectric has shown enhanced mobility, μFE = 2.293 Ã 10â3 cm2 Vâ1 sâ1 (saturation regime) and high on/off ratio (105).404
