Abstract
Li-ion battery cathode material Li (Ni1/3Co0.9/3Mn1/3Fe0.1/3)1 − xTixO2 (x = 0,0.01, 0.02,0.03,0.04) was prepared by coprecipitation method. The effects of Ti4 +-Fe3 + co-doping on the crystal structure and electrochemical performance of Li[Ni1/3Co1/3Mn1/3]O2 was studied by means of X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electronmicroscopy (SEM) and electrochemical tests. It is found that the specific discharge capacity was improved and the cost was reduced of Li[Ni1/3Co1/3Mn1/3]O2 after Fe3 + doping; in addition, Ti4 + doping is conducive to the improvement of the cycle performance and rate capacity. When galvanostatic charged-discharged with 0.1 C in 2.4-4.5 V, the specific discharge capacity in initial cycle was 168.5 mAh/g, the capacity retention was 89.30% after 30 cycles.
