Abstract
New chelators inspired in an inhibitor of a trypanosomatid enzyme, and their copper complexes, was tested against Leishmania amazonensis promastigotes. One of the ligands was active in a pharmaceutically interesting concentration, and it could be used to deliver toxic metals to the parasite.43
