Abstract
We present a proteome-scale portrait of iron binding proteins from bread wheat. It was observed that in these proteins, Glu, His, Asp and Cys amino acids were mostly involved in binding to Fe2 + and Fe3 + ions. These putative iron-binding proteins may perform a diverse range of molecular and biochemical functions in wheat.97
