Abstract
In an effort to confront the rising multi-resistance in infectious pathogens, novel hybrid Bi(III)-hydroxycarboxylato-(NO3â/phenanthroline) complexes were designed and synthesized. Their antimicrobial properties were demonstrated against Gram positive/negative bacteria using agar diffusion methods. The new well-defined, among the rarely crystallographically-characterized, materials exhibit bacteriocidal/bacteriostatic properties, meriting further development of efficient metallodrugs.79
