Abstract
Two new ruthenium(II) polypyridyl complexes have been synthesized, characterized, and evaluated as potential photodynamic therapy agents. Both complexes show the ability to under light induced reactions with DNA but only the trimetallic ruthenium complex shows delivers photo-cytotoxicity toward human lung cancer cells.197
