Abstract
Electrochemical and DNA binding properties of three Cu(II)-arylimidazo[4,5f] [1,10] phenanthroline complexes have been investigated. Viscosity measurements illustrate non-intercalative binding to DNA supported by molecular docking studies. The complexes cleave DNA by oxidative mechanism involving singlet oxygen species.147
