Effect of electronic and steric properties of 8-substituted quinolines in gold(III) complexes: Synthesis, electrochemistry, stability, interactions and antiproliferative studies

The synthesis and characterization of gold(III) complexes with quinoline ligands that contain different steric and electronic properties of the donor atom at 8-position of the quinoline are presented. Their biological activity as well as their redox potentials, stability in different media and interactions with model biological molecules were also studied.119
