Abstract
The metal complex [(1,10-phenathroline)(S,S-diaminocyclohexane)platinum(II)] chloride (PHENSS) forms a host-guest complex with para-sulfonatocalix[4]arene (sCX[4]) which we call a molecular capsule. These capsules bind to the surface of cationic PAMAM dendrimers forming nanocomplexes which may have wider potential in metal-based drug delivery for cancer treatment.189
