Crystal structure of a novel RNA motif that allows for precise positioning of a single metal ion

We report a novel RNA motif that allows for precise positioning of a single metal ion. Since the motif is composed of two RNA strands containing only six residues and adjacent phosphate groups, it can easily be introduced into an RNA helix by a cut-and-paste for constructing functional nucleic acids.85
