Abstract
A series of new ruthenium(II)-chlorophenyl-terpyridine complexes were synthesized and fully characterized. The chlorido complexes proved to be labile in aqueous solution and capable of interacting with biomolecules. Furthermore, the complex with bidentate aromatic diamine proved to be superior to those with aliphatic diamines in terms of lipophilicity and biological activity.78
