Abstract
The heterotrimer of copper transporter (Ctr) proteins, Ctr4 and Ctr5, of Schizosaccharomyces pombe. Cys/Trp motif (CX5WNWX5C) in extracellular N-terminal region is considered to play an important role in the Cu(I) transportation inside a cell. Cys/Trp motif of Ctr5 harbors a His residue affecting the binding structure and affinity of Cu(I).175
