Abstract
In this work, two Ru(II) polypyridine complexes containing guanidinium ligands were synthesized and characterized. Both complexes exhibited antitumor activity to five different human tumor cells. Additionally, the two complexes displayed higher phototoxicity to tumor cells and almost no influence on normal cells upon irradiation at 450Â nm.62
