Abstract
A combination of mass spectrometry, gel-filtration experiments, EPR, absorption spectroscopy, resonance Raman spectroscopy, 3D modeling and electrochemistry reveal differences and similarities between Antarctic fish cytoglobin-1 and human cytoglobin. CO ligands are differently stabilized by the cytoglobins. Non-covalent interactions drive multimer formation up to pentamers for Antarctic Fish cytoglobins.360
