Abstract
The silver(I) complex of a Schiff base 2-(quinonyl)iminotriazaadamantane (qyTAm) namely [Ag(qyTAm)2](CF3SO3) (2) readily dissolves in aqueous media and causes rapid eradication of both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria with high efficiency. The triazaadamantyl moiety in the ligand frame is responsible for the superior antibacterial activity of this silver complex.226
