Abstract
Bi2S3 nanospheres with size of 212Â nm can selectively enhance the antibacterial efficacy of ineffective aminoglycoside antibiotic gentamicin (GEN) against clinically isolated methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus. The synergistic antibacterial mechanism involves destruction of bacterial membrane function, increase of GEN content in cytoplasm and generation of intracellular ROS.116
