Targeting human telomeric and c-myc G-quadruplexes with alkynylplatinum(II) terpyridine complexes under molecular crowding conditions

The binding constants between three alkynylplatinum(II) terpyridine complexes and G-quadruplexes decrease significantly in the presence of crowding agent. One of the three complexes still shows high affinity (Ka > 106 M− 1) and selectivity for G-quadruplexes under molecular crowding conditions, and exhibits excellent cytotoxicity against cancer cell lines.101
