Preparative resolution of stable enantio-enriched POCOP-based planar chiral pincer complexes

Coordination of the [CpRu]+ fragment to the aromatic ring of non-symmetric POCOP pincer derivatives of palladium and platinum afforded racemic planar-chiral complexes. The use of Δ-TRISPHAT allowed the physical separation of the diastereomers and a metathesis of the counterion provided each enantiomer in enantiomeric excess >90%.156
