Abstract
Multinuclear rhodium and ruthenium complexes were evaluated as catalyst precursors in the hydroformylation of 1-octene. Both the rhodium and ruthenium complexes were found to be active in the hydroformylation reaction. However the rhodium systems were found to be more active even when operating under much milder reaction conditions.111
