Abstract
Synopsis: Inspired by the promising anticancer activity of aspirin-metal conjugates, aspirin-derived ligands were prepared and coordinated to organoruthenium and -osmium moieties. Most interestingly, crystallographic studies revealed a network of hydrogen bonding and Ï-stacking. Surprisingly, none of the prepared compounds showed antiproliferative activity.222
