Abstract
We have studied the reaction between palladium(0) olefin complexes with 3âchloroâ1âpropyne or 3âchloroâ1âphenylâ1âpropyne. In the case of the reaction with 3âchloroâ1âpropyne we have obtained the palladium allenyl derivative only, whereas the oxidative addition of 3âchloroâ1âphenylâ1âpropyne yields a mixture of the allenyl and propargyl tautomers. On the basis of a detailed kinetic study we have hypothesized a mechanism network which in one case was completely disentangled.201
