Abstract
We have studied the reaction between palladium(0) olefin complexes with 3−chloro−1−propyne or 3−chloro−1−phenyl−1−propyne. In the case of the reaction with 3−chloro−1−propyne we have obtained the palladium allenyl derivative only, whereas the oxidative addition of 3−chloro−1−phenyl−1−propyne yields a mixture of the allenyl and propargyl tautomers. On the basis of a detailed kinetic study we have hypothesized a mechanism network which in one case was completely disentangled.201
