Synthesis of polyfluorene containing simple functional end group with aryl palladium(II) complexes as initiators

A series of coordination-saturated aryl Pd(II) complexes containing the functional groups on Pd-aryl ring was successfully synthesized by oxidative addition reaction, in which the P(o-tol)3-ligated Pd(II) complexes could smoothly initiate the Suzuki-Miyaura catalyst-transfer polycondensation of fluorene-type monomer at room temperature to give the polyfluorenes with defined functional end group.
