Abstract
A series of ruthenocenyl-containing β-diketonato titanium(IV) complexes of the type [Ti(C5H5)2(RcCOCHCOR)][ClO4] were synthesized by a ligand exchange method. The electrochemical data for the TiIII/TiIV and Rc/Rc+ couples in CH2Cl2/0.1 M [N(nBu)4][B(C6H5)4] indicated irreversible electrochemical behaviour, while in CH3CN/0.1 M [N(nBu)4][PF6] an irreversible two-electron oxidation of the ruthenocenyl fragment, Rc, to Rc2+ was observed.223
