Abstract
The iron bismuth formate [Fp-Bi(O2CH2)2)]n was accessed through reaction of Fp2 with bismuth formate and found to crystallize in two polymorphic structures; crystallization procedures to obtain both polymorphs as pure phases were developed. The reaction of the acetate [Fp-Bi(O2CCH3)2] with rhenocene hydride was investigated and led to the formation of the unique heterotrimetallic compound [Fp-Bi(Cl)ReCp2].181
