Abstract
In vitro release studies showed the ability of the sponge-like systems and chitosan nanoparticles to deliver the mucoadhesive nanoparticles and peptide respectively. CLSM micrographs proved the nanoparticles ability promoting the peptide penetration inside the vaginal mucosa.
