Abstract
⺠This study addresses PAH export via sinking particles in the open SW Black Sea. ⺠Concentrations and flux of PAHs were monitored on a 1 year sediment trap deployment. ⺠Both petrogenic and pyrolytic PAH are found in the study area. ⺠PAH flux variations were controlled by emissions and marine productivity. ⺠High biogenic fluxes enhance the vertical export of PAHs to deep Black Sea waters.
