Abstract
⺠Distribution of isoprenoid and branched GDGTs along altitude on a plateau mountain. ⺠TEX86 values of surface soils decreased linearly with altitude. ⺠The MBT index decreased significantly with increasing altitude. ⺠TEX86 and MBT are potentially paleoelevation proxies in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.
