Abstract
⺠Leaf-wax δD and δ13C were negatively correlated. ⺠A shift in vegetation composition and/or physiology influenced leaf wax δD values. ⺠Precipitation δD and evaporation affected leaf wax δD to a varying degree. ⺠Paleoecological data may aid paleoclimatic interpretation of leaf wax δD values.
