Abstract
⺠Stratified water column of Gotland Deep (Baltic Sea) was investigated for biomarkers. ⺠Bacteriohopanepolyols and phospholipid FAs indicated presence of type I methanotrophic bacteria in suboxic zone. ⺠Composition of bacteriohopanepolyols from suboxic zone was reflected in upper sediment layers.
