Abstract
⺠Amino acids + amino sugars in sedimenting lacustrine organic matter (OM) studied. ⺠Plankton, sediment trap and sediment samples examined. ⺠Contribution of amino acids to OM decreased with progressive degradation. ⺠Amino sugars accumulated in sediment to a greater extent in the oligotrophic lake.
