Abstract
⺠There is a linear relationship between salinity optimum and fraction of unsaturated dialkyl glycerol diethers (DGDs). ⺠The fraction of unsaturated DGDs increased with increasing NaCl concentration. ⺠Strains with higher optimal salinity had a higher fraction of unsaturated DGDs.
