Abstract
⺠Carbon isotopic composition of acetate in pore water from Bering slope was measured. ⺠The data indicate the principal process producing acetate was fermentation. ⺠10-15% of contribution of acetogenesis to total acetate production was estimated. ⺠Some relationship exists between acetate production rate and TOC content.
