Abstract
⺠Oil samples from eastern Papua New Guinea can be differentiated into two genetic groups. ⺠Family A oils are from clay-rich marine rock(s), containing predominantly terrestrial OM. ⺠B oils are from marine calcareous rock(s) containing predominantly prokaryotic OM.
