Abstract
⺠Structural class and botanical source of Eocene amber from Nigeria was determined. ⺠The amber belongs to Class Ib type. ⺠The terpenoids composition of the amber points to a conifer (gymnosperm) source. ⺠Our results contrast with the angiosperm source previously suggested for the amber.
