Abstract
⺠Rock-Eval analysis was standardised for recent sediments and soils. ⺠Bimodal S2 peak suggests first peak (300-400 °C) best described by algae and lipids. ⺠CO signature (S3CO, OICO) is best to distinguish various sources of organic matter. ⺠Metal binding groups (N, S) in OM are most likely related to S2 fraction.
