Abstract
⺠New geochemical analyses of the Q family of oils from Oman are described. ⺠Q oils are likely derived from an Early Cambrian unit of the Ara Formation. ⺠This was likely prevalent in North Oman but missing from the South Oman Salt Basin. ⺠Some high maturity condensates from North Oman have Q-like geochemistry.
