Abstract
⺠Black C (BC) was unaffected by stubble burning, but increased in fire forest soil. ⺠BC played a minor role in the C stabilisation in stubble burning soil. ⺠Aliphatics were dichromate oxidised to a lower extent than aromatic compounds. ⺠Results highlight importance of alkyl C for C storage. ⺠Soil C stock correlated with pyrophosphate extracted Al, but BC did not.
