Abstract
⺠Aliphatic and aromatic biomarkers in Ordovician to Devonian sediments correlated with terrestrial and marine palynomorph content. ⺠Several land plant biomarkers (e.g. retene) found in middle Silurian-lower Devonian samples. ⺠Bryophytes and tracheophytes proposed as a new terrestrial source for most biomarkers detected.
