Abstract
Anigorufone and other phenylphenalenones were identified in red epidermal tissue of pseudostem and fruit exocarp of a Musa variety and in black mats of sooty mold and dorsal scales of latania scales. Sentence summarizing the work: “Sternorrhyncha” species overcome the defence system of a banana.
