Abstract
Three anthraquinones, not described before, were identified as constituents of the aerial parts of Heterophyllaea lycioides: lycionine (1), 7-chlorobisoranjidiol (2) and 5-chlorosoranjidiol (3). These compounds showed Type I photosensitizing properties.160
