Abstract
Flag leaf and peduncle waxes of Triticum aestivum cv. Bethlehem contained aliphatic, aromatic, and alicyclic compound classes with characteristic chain length and isomer distributions. Benzyl, phenethyl, p-hydroxyphenthyl, and 2-alkanol esters were found present in wheat wax.
