Abstract
1H NMR profiles of resin from the sedge plant, Lepidosperma sp. Montebello (Cyperaceae), were compared with resin taken from the hind legs of honey bees foraging on the plant and resin deposited in the bee hive as propolis. The profiles are similar, except for signals consistent with beeswax mixed with resin in propolis.574
