Abstract
The N-terminal sequence identity was revealed among RBI (Ragi Bifunctional Inhibitor) and two RTIs (Ragi Trypsin Inhibitors) from Ragi/finger millet (Eleusine coracana). Based on this, the upstream region of the RBI gene was identified as a bidirectional promoter. Bidirectionality of EcBDP (Eleusine coracana Bidirectional Promoter) was validated experimentally.
