Abstract
Nine phenalenone derivatives and an unusual sesterterpene bipolarenic acid were isolated from the marine fungus Lophiostoma bipolare BCC25910. Structural elucidation was determined by NMR and MS spectroscopic data, together with the specific rotations. The relative stereochemistry of bipolarenic acid was confirmed by X-ray crystallographic data.
