Abstract
Ascaris suum migration and motility were strongly inhibited by shea meal proanthocyanidins. These contained equal proportions of gallocatechin and epigallocatechin subunits, had a high degree of galloylation and the mean degree of polymerisation was 8. Shea meal is also a good source of free epigallocatechin gallate (EGCg; 575 mg/kg meal).188
