Abstract
A rhamnogalacturonan I containing branched arabinogalactan in the side chain and esterified phenolic acids was isolated from Nyctanthes arbor-tristis leaves. This polymer, which shows significant antioxidative activity, forms water soluble complex with bovine serum albumin.
