The distribution of glutathione and homoglutathione in leaf, root and seed tissue of 73 species across the three sub-families of the Leguminosae

Homoglutathione is a homologue of glutathione, which is unique to the Leguminosae. This study shows that homoglutathione occurs mainly in species belonging to the 'Old World Clade' of the Papilionoideae subfamily, and is more prevalent in roots than in leaves or seeds.
