Abstract
The transformed products by R. stolonifer were 1α-hydroxyartemisinin, 3.0%, a compound, 10β-hydroxyartemisinin, 54.5% and deoxyartemisinin in 9% yield. The major compound 10β-hydroxyartemisinin was converted to five derivatives. 10β-Hydroxy-12β-arteether, IC50 at 18.29 nM was found to be 10 times better active than its precursor.76
